BREAKING NEWS: GENIE+ Is Set To Make It’s Disney World Debut
Great news! In just a few short weeks, Genie+ will make it’s debut at Disney World. On October 19, 2021 Genie+ will officially replace Disney’s Fastpass+.
Here is the description of Disney World’s new service directly from the Disney Parks blog …
“Available for all of our guests right in the My Disney Experience app, the complimentary Disney Genie service offers new features that let you create your best Disney day,” the post states. “These features include a personalized itinerary creator that effortlessly and smartly maps out an entire day inspired by the things you tell us you love – helping you make the most of your park time so you can have more fun.”
The Disney Genie+ add-on will be available to purchase for 40 attractions. The new feature will also provide guests an opportunity to purchase the add-on for individual attractions. It’s being touted as a similar program to Disneyland’s Max Past system.
Rides like Space Mountain and Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run will have lightning lanes available for the Genie+ ready when the service launches later this month.
Disney Park attractions will require an additional Individual Lightning Lane pass. The following Disney World attractions will launch exclusively as Individual Lightning Lane attractions. The exclsuive lightining pass attractions include:
In the Magic Kingdom, both Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Space Mountain will be Individual Lightning Lane attractions and will not be included in a guest’s $15 per guest, per day Genie+ price. Each of these attractions will be available for a separate purchase, the cost of will depend on time of day and type of attraction. Over at EPCOT, both Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure and Frozen Ever After will also be Individual Lightning Lane attractions. Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and Minnie and Mickey’s Runaway Railway wil also debut as Individual Lightning Lane attractions as well as Avatar Flight of Passage and Expedition Everest over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
As of today, the opening day Individual Lightning Lane prices will be as follows: Expedition Everest will be $7 per guest on Tuesday, October 19th, and $7 on Saturday, October 23rd. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train in the Magic Kingdom will be $10 per guest on October 19th, and $12 on Saturday the 23rd. Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will be $9 per guest on Tuesday the 19th, and $11 on Saturday the 23rd. And Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance will be $15 per guest on both October 19th and October 23rd. It’s important to remember that the prices for the Individual Lightning Lane Entrance attractions will vary according to attraction and date. It’s important to stay up to date with any changes VIA the My Disney Experience App.
