Breaking News: 2021 and 2022 Vacations Now Available
Need Something to Look Forward To?
We are now in the last quarter of 2020. This year has been one for the ages and for most people one to forget. I know here at Magical Travel Queen that is certainly the case. Even though 2020 has not been great, having something to look forward to in 2021 or even early 2022 is great for our mental health as days turn colder and darker. To help with this, Disney just opened up some future travel dates for both Disney World and Disney Cruise Line.
Walt Disney World: Guests have been waiting longer than usual for Disney to open up bookings for vacation packages for the last part of 2021. This will be a very exciting time to visit Disney World. In addition to the traditional fall/holiday events and activities, Disney World will also be celebrating its 50th birthday starting on October 1st. While details on the celebrations have not been released, given past celebrations, this should be spectacular.
Fall has become a very popular time to visit Walt Disney World and 2021 will be no exception. Now is the best time to get the best resort availability and the dates that work best for your family. With some resorts not yet open for booking, room availability could become an issue in the not so distant future.
Disney offers guests a large amount of flexibility with vacation packages, even after they are booked with a deposit. Guests can move their dates (multiple times even) or even get a full refund of the $200 deposit any time up until the final payment is made 30 days prior to check-in. Guests also never have to worry about the best price since any promotions that are released and applicable can be applied at any time up to check-in. All of this gives guests a peace of mind while making future plans.
Disney Cruise Line: Even though a date has yet to be announced for when Disney will start sailing again, Disney has announced that early 2022 cruise itineraries will begin booking next week. Castaway Cay members have priority based on their level and general booking will begin on October 22nd. Included in this release are 2 special 10 day Hawaiian sailings on the Disney Wonder.
Guests looking for the best pricing and the best stateroom availability benefit from booking as soon as options open up. Cruise pricing typically increases as the ships fill up. This is especially true for new itineraries, brand new ships and even certain stateroom types such as Concierge or Accessible staterooms.
Similar to Disney World, Disney Cruise Line also offers a flexible change and cancellation policy to guests. Guests who have made their deposits (typically 20% of the cruise fare) have the flexibility to change ship, sail date or both prior to the final payment date. Guests also have the option to cancel for a full refund up to the final payment date, unless booked on a restricted fare or in a Concierge level room.
Whether you are looking to celebrate with Mickey for Walt Disney World’s 50th or set sail with Captain Mickey on the high seas, it’s a great time to make some plans! If you have any questions about either destination, I am happy to answer them. Let’s make some memories
